Centre Point Hotels Group Hosts Centre Point x Autistic Thai Always Care Workshop

Centre Point Hotels Group, in collaboration with Autistic Thai Foundation, hosted a CSR workshop under the name of “Centre Point x Autistic Thai Always Care Workshop” for children with autism and special needs, and their families held at Centre Point Hotel Silom recently.

The workshop was a result of a campaign launched on 2 April 2023, in observance of World Autism Awareness Day. Centre Point Hotels Group had joined forces with the Autism Thai Foundation to organize an event aimed at promoting the development of autistic children and children with special needs. The event provided an opportunity for all hotel guests who made direct room reservations in the month of April to participate and support this initiative. Centre Point Hotels Group dedicated 1% of the revenue generated from direct room bookings during that period to organize the workshop for this event.

Aiming to empower the families and caregivers of children with special needs, the workshop was designed to give them practical tools and skills to enhance their communication and behavior, and to live more fulfilling lives integrated into society.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Bangkok Governor; Mr. Chusak Chantayanon, President of Autistic Thai Foundation; Mr. Chusak Siricheangpin, Director of Central Special Education Center; and Mr. Pramot Thamsaroch, Representative of the Autism Parents Association in Thailand as well as all General Managers and the Director of Sales and Marketing of Centre Point Hotels Group. They expressed their appreciation and support for the initiative and praised the collaboration between Centre Point Hotels Group and Autistic Thai Foundation.

Featured during the workshop was a training session on how to create and use handmade Social Stories books, which are personalized stories that help children understand social situations and cope with challenges. The workshop also provided materials and equipment for the participants to make their own Social Stories books, featuring illustrations by one of the talented autistic artists at Autistic Thai Foundation.

Mr. Chalong Phiakudpheng, General Manager at Centre Point Hotel Silom and Centre Point Hotel Pratunam, said “We are honored to partner with the Autistic Thai Foundation for this meaningful event. Our Centre Point Hotels are committed to giving back to the community and supporting the development of children with special needs, and we hope that this workshop will make a positive difference in their lives.”

Mr. Nuntakorn Chang, Corporate Director of Marketing and Communications at Centre Point Hotels Group, added “Throughout this event, I experienced the dedication of all parties involved in providing useful and practical information for promoting language development and offering guidance in behavioral training that families can implement in caring for their children. We sincerely hope that everyone gained valuable knowledge to apply in the care of their children and loved ones.”

The workshop was a success and received positive feedback from the participants. Centre Point Hotels Group and Autistic Thai Foundation plan to continue their collaboration and organize more workshops in the future.
