Challenging Runners to Conquer 61 Floors and Finish at the Newly Reimagined Vertigo, Banyan Tree Bangkok
Get ready to rise beyond limits at one of Bangkok’s most iconic vertical running challenges. Banyan Tree Bangkok invites runners and fitness enthusiasts to take part in the 23rd Vertical Marathon 2026, an exhilarating race to conquer 1,093 steps across 61 floors, rising 197 metres above the city. More than a test of strength and determination, every step will help make a positive difference. The race took place on Sunday, 20 December 2026.
One of Thailand’s longest-running charity sporting events, the Vertical Marathon has been held annually since 1999. The race is open to runners of all abilities, from first-time participants seeking a personal milestone to experienced athletes looking to test their endurance in one of Bangkok’s most distinctive races.
Adding to the excitement, the 2026 edition marks the first Vertical Marathon to finish at the newly unveiled Vertigo, following its extensive transformation. Participants will be among the first to experience the iconic rooftop’s new chapter while celebrating their achievement against breathtaking panoramic views of Bangkok’s skyline.
More than a test of endurance, the Banyan Tree Bangkok Vertical Marathon continues to demonstrate the hotel’s longstanding commitment to community and social responsibility, proving that every step taken can make a meaningful difference. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Thai Red Cross HIV Formula Feeding Fund under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali, helping provide essential nutrition to babies born to mothers living with HIV.
Registration is THB 600 net per person, inclusive of an official race T-shirt, finisher’s medal, post-race meal box.
