A Cross-Border 4-Hands Culinary Collaboration 26–27 February 2026

JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa presents From River to Sea, a two-night culinary collaboration uniting Thailand and Vietnam through refined technique, shared heritage, and expressive flavours inspired by river and sea.

Taking place on 26 and 27 February 2026 in the tranquil coastal setting of Phang Nga, the event brings together Chef Eak, Chef de Cuisine of Drift Beach Bar & Grill at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, and Chef Đinh Thị Nhật Anh, Chef de Cuisine of JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon. Together, they create a cross-cultural culinary dialogue that celebrates regional ingredients, craftsmanship, and the landscapes that shape both cuisines.

Vietnamese Street Food Buffet

The collaboration begins with a vibrant open-air Vietnamese Street Food Buffet set beside the Andaman Sea. Inspired by the dynamic energy of Vietnam’s streets, the evening reimagines beloved classics through elevated technique and premium ingredients.

Highlights include freshly shucked Fine de Claire oysters, sustainable sashimi and nigiri selections, handcrafted maki rolls, and a dedicated noodle station featuring Pho Bo. Signature Vietnamese dishes such as Bun Cha Ha Noi, Bo Kho slow-braised beef, fresh spring rolls with herbs and tiger prawns, and grilled lemongrass pork skewers showcase depth and balance.

Complementing the Vietnamese flavors, guests can explore Thai street food favorites including live Som Tam and Larb stations, Phad Thai prepared à la minute, wok-fried rice, Andaman seafood BBQ, and a curated selection of traditional curries. The evening concludes with tropical desserts, coconut ice cream served in shell, mango sticky rice, and classic Thai sweets.

4-Hands Dinner – Thai & Vietnamese Inspired Set Menu

The experience culminates in an intimate six-course 4-hands dinner at Drift Beach Bar & Grill. The evening opens with an amuse-bouche celebrating Phang Nga flavors – crab curry croquettes and crispy rice with scallops and JW Garden vegetables. A trio of Vietnamese-inspired starters follows, including herb-forward seafood salad, fresh spring rolls, and grilled beef wrapped in betel leaves.

From there, the menu transitions to a Northeast-style consommé with pork tortellini, a turmeric-infused chicken ballotine with coconut curry, and a standout A5 Japanese Wagyu ribeye marinated in a Vietnamese signature sauce, served with rice noodles, pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs.

Desserts pay homage to regional ingredients with lotus seed sweet soup with longan, followed by coconut panna cotta with passionfruit and mango.

Together, the menu reflects Thai boldness and Vietnamese refinement – distinct in character yet harmonious in expression.
