Sarnies Group Completes Its Sukhumvit 22 Enclave with the Opening of Latin-Inspired Cocktail Bar, Toma y Toma

The final addition to the shophouse brings playful cocktails and laid-back energy to the neighbourhood.

Six months on from its November 2025 debut, Toma y Toma by Singapore-born Sarnies Group continues to hit its stride in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit 22. Tucked within the same building as Sarnies Cantina and Carito’s, Toma y Toma forms part of a Latin American enclave to offer easy transitions from dinner downstairs to drinks upstairs. The bar, led by the F*nkytown team, has quickly found its footing as a neighbourhood go-to, now bolstered by a new Happy Hour and a refreshed line-up centred around familiar Latin American flavours.

An Eclectic Living Room Above Sukhumvit 22

Since the debut of Sarnies Bangkok in Charoen Krung in 2018, Sarnies Group has grown into one of Thailand’s leading independent F&B groups, with a portfolio of neighbourhood-driven concepts spanning coffee and brunch cafés to cantina-style dining and cocktail bars. Today, the group’s venues have become fixtures across Bangkok’s dining precincts, with Toma y Toma joining as its 12th concept in Thailand.

Central to this growth is the group’s commitment to revitalising heritage buildings and overlooked spaces, with many of its venues housed within restored shophouses where the architecture becomes part of the storytelling. Occupying the floor above Sarnies Cantina and Carito’s, Toma y Toma evokes a cosy living room, with elements including tiled flooring, timber and leather furniture, potted plants, and quirky accents, ideal for laidback drinks and conversations.

Cocktails & Bar Grub with a Latin Rhythm

Since its opening, Toma y Toma has evolved its programme with an updated line-up that furthers into playful riffs on classics with zero-proof options. Crafted by the F*nkytown team, the menu is structured into cocktails, wine based cocktails, and frozen slushes, spanning easy to bolder sips.

Latin American flavours course through the menu, with highlights such as *Horchata Ramos (THB 380), a tropical Ramos Fizz with rum, horchata cream, tamarind and pineapple. Banano Blanco (THB 350) is an aromatic Highball that builds Thai banana-infused mezcal, butterscotch, cucumber and carbonated coconut water; while *Queso & Cola Sour (THB 350) is an unconventional variant of cheese rind-washed bourbon, mezcal and homemade cola. Not forgetting a coffee number, *Cartel Coffee (THB 300) comes spiked with tequila and whisky for soothing warmth with salted cream, while Rosa Americano (THB 300) offers a hibiscus-based quencher for an easy pre-meal aperitif.

Onto spirit-forward tipples, Martini Clásico (THB 320) caters to Dirty Martini lovers with its piquant jalapeño brine, as Negroni drinkers may gravitate towards Dulce Rosita (THB 320) for a floral stir of butter-washed mezcal and jasmine tea-infused Campari. For something smashable, wine-based cocktails such as Sangria (THB 320 / THB 990) and Strawberry Rosé Spritz (THB 340 / THB 1020) come in single serves or jugs. Rounding out the menu is a frozen duo of *Maracuyá Colada and *Agua de Cola (THB 260 / 880), where the former is a punch of tropical fruits, as the latter leans tangy and fizzy with homemade cola and roselle.

Bar Bites & Happy Hour

Those looking to pair with their drinks can expect a selection of unfussy bites. Highlights include Tigre Mussel Croquetas (THB 260) — a creamy, briny mix of New Zealand mussel mousse and tiger prawns, topped with smoked tomato chimichurri — alongside Cuttlefish Tostadas (THB 320) that place grilled cuttlefish atop coriander emulsion and salsa macha. A heartier option, Truffle Bikini Sandwich (THB 260) layers jamón serrano and Gouda with swipes of black truffle aioli and apricot jam to cut through the richness.

To entice early neighbourhood drinking, the team introduced Happy Hour from 5–7 PM on Wednesdays to Sundays where wine-based cocktails, including Sangria and Kalimotxo, red spritz with rum and homemade cola are offered at THB 200. Cocktails priced at THB 150 include Three-Salt Picante, a capsicum juice margarita with tomato and tajin salt rim, alongside Martini Clásico and Rosa Americano. Extending into bar bites at THB 160 are Chicken Crisps with house salsa, tallow-fried Patacones, and an 18-hour slow-cooked Grilled Beef Tongue (100g), finished with coffee rub.
