MONDRIAN GOLD COAST EXPANDS ITS WELLNESS OFFERING

CIEL Spa enters a new era of bio-wellness and cosmetic innovation

CIEL Spa at Mondrian Gold Coast unveils its next chapter in bio-wellness, expanding its science-backed philosophy with the introduction of cosmetic medicine by Dr Edwina Morgan, advanced EMFACE® and EXION™ technologies, a new membership program for locals and an enriched calendar of movement-led experiences overlooking Burleigh Beach.

Positioned in the heart of Burleigh, CIEL Spa continues to redefine what a hotel spa can be merging clinical precision with holistic ritual in a setting shaped by surf, salt air and sunlight.

“CIEL Spa was created as a destination for longevity and connection,” said Amy Hides, Director of Spa and Wellness at Mondrian Gold Coast. “This evolution allows us to further bridge the space between bio-wellness, aesthetic innovation and community ritual — offering both locals and travellers a more complete approach to modern wellbeing.”

Cosmetic medicine by Dr Edwina Morgan

In a significant expansion of its clinical offering CIEL Spa now welcomes Dr Edwina Morgan, Md-certified Cosmetic Physician who will be onsite every five weeks throughout 2026 for exclusive treatment appointments, bookable directly via the CIEL Spa website.

With a medical background spanning obstetrics and gynaecology before advancing into cosmetic medicine, Dr Edwina is a national Key Opinion Leader and Lead Trainer in advanced injectable techniques for Galderma, a full member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia and a field expert for the Aesthetic Medicine Emergency Team (AMET).

Her philosophy centres on refined, natural results offering anti-wrinkle treatments, volume restoration, anti-ageing cosmetic procedures and tailored skin enhancement protocols. Each treatment begins with a comprehensive consultation to ensure outcomes that enhance smoothness, lift and firmness while preserving facial harmony.

EMFACE® & EXION™: needle-free rejuvenation meets bio-wellness

Further cementing its reputation as one of Australia’s most progressive hotel spa concepts, CIEL Spa has introduced two globally recognised technologies, EMFACE® and EXION™, delivering non-surgical lifting, tightening and collagen stimulation without invasive downtime.

EMFACE® combines radiofrequency skin tightening with HIFES® muscle stimulation to lift and tone facial structure, ideal for upper face, lower face or full-face rejuvenation. EXION™ supports advanced skin rejuvenation through radiofrequency tightening, collagen and elastin stimulation and hyaluronic acid enhancement. Treatments range from eye and cheek lifts to RF needling, micro-ablative resurfacing and body contouring.

Together, these technologies complement CIEL Spa’s existing touchless therapies including zero-gravity dry float, cryo therapy, infrared sauna and Himalayan Salt Room supporting muscle recovery, inflammation reduction, improved sleep and cellular renewal.

Membership: a new ritual for locals

Designed with Burleigh locals in mind the newly launched CIEL Spa membership offers consistent access to advanced wellness at $99 per week (valued at $700) including unlimited cryo, dry float and infrared sauna, 360-degree LED light therapy, halo salt room therapy (Monday-Friday), 20% off full-priced treatments and 10% off selected homecare. The initiative reinforces Mondrian Gold Coast’s positioning as more than a luxury hotel — but a lifestyle hub embedded within the Burleigh community.

Nourish & Flow: the complete wellness escape

The evolution of CIEL Spa builds upon Mondrian Gold Coast’s existing Nourish & Flow package, an elevated wellness escape blending movement, nourishment and restorative therapies available for stays until 30 November 2026 (from $585 per night) and including overnight accommodation in a luxury room, access to the CIEL Spa Himalayan Salt Room, magnesium plunge pools and gym facilities, tickets to Mondrian Moves (subject to availability) and a Synergie Skin gift pack valued at $88. Guests may further personalise their stay with cosmetic treatments, advanced skin therapies or additional touchless sessions.

Mondrian Moves: community, connection & flow

Wellness at Mondrian extends beyond the spa walls with Mondrian Moves, the hotel’s signature outdoor movement series held poolside at Haven on Level 3 overlooking the ocean, featuring Sunday Flow, a 60-minute energising blend of pilates and yoga guided by Jess Morris of Wellness With Jess and Mindful Monday, a 30-minute breathwork and meditation session designed to reset, regulate and restore clarity for the week ahead. Both sessions are complimentary for hotel guests and open to Burleigh locals via booking.

Wellness beyond the spa

Set just steps from iconic Burleigh Beach and moments from the lush trails of Burleigh Headland National Park, Mondrian Gold Coast places outdoor ritual at the centre of the wellness experience.

Mornings begin with saltwater swims and golden light over the ocean, with surfboard hire available from $60 for two hours for guests ready to ride the world-class waves directly on the hotel’s doorstep. For those looking to explore further, e-bike hire (from $90 for four hours) offers effortless cruising along the coastline, blending movement with immersion in Burleigh’s laid-back rhythm.

Back at the hotel, two magnesium plunge pools on Level 3 provide a restorative counterpoint to the ocean, infused with vital salts and minerals designed to support muscle recovery, improve sleep quality and calm the nervous system.

Dining at onsite venues LiTO and Haven completes the experience, championing locally sourced Southeast Queensland produce in spaces that open to sun, sea breeze and sky. From post-surf espresso and coastal Italian plates at LiTO to ocean-facing, flame-grilled fare at Haven, nourishment remains deeply connected to place.
