MGallery Hotel Collection in Asia unveils immersive experiences for Heritage Days 2025
MGallery Hotel Collection championing history around the world for Heritage Days
MGallery hotels across Asia will host cultural programmes that honour their legacy and local communities
Each September, European Heritage Days invite citizens to explore art, architecture, and culture through events that reveal the stories behind historic places.
MGallery Hotel Collection, known for curating distinctive hotels with true soul, has embraced the celebration worldwide. More than simply places to stay, MGallery hotels are guardians of cultural treasures, weaving history, artistry, and local spirit into meaningful guest experiences.
This year, hotels across Asia will host Heritage Days programmes that reflect the essence of their destinations and their enduring narratives, from wooden stamp-making in Vietnam to heritage quests in Laos, island traditions in the Philippines, and cultural showcases in Thailand.
Journeys across Asia’s cultural landscape

Heritage Days at MGallery begins in the heart of old Indochina, where stories are reimagined through art and craft. In Laos, 3 Nagas Luang Prabang – MGallery Collection , set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, invites guests to step into its layered past. Sketching the Past turns the hotel’s façade and motifs into a canvas, while a self-guided Hidden History Quest reveals details of its royal ice cream parlour days and its role as a meeting place for the court. Traditional Lao attire adds authenticity, and the return of the hotel’s famous ice cream provides a sweet conclusion to the journey.

Across the border in Vietnam, heritage is expressed through creativity. In the northern highlands, Hôtel de la Coupole – MGallery Collection in Sapa introduces a Stamp Rally Tour, where guests explore striking interiors and collect handcrafted stamps by Phuc Loi Stamp, one of the country’s last wooden stamp makers. An exhibition by artist Ha Phuong, who works in H’Mong Batik beeswax painting, extends the theme of cultural revival, while a talk with both artisans turns the hotel into a living studio. Each guest departs with a hand-carved stamp set — a keepsake to be treasured.

Further south, Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery Collection casts the spotlight on Vietnam’s modern art heritage. Pigment in Bloom, created in partnership with Lotus Gallery, celebrates gouache, a medium central to Vietnamese artistic expression in the early 20th century. Displayed in the hotel’s Café des Beaux-Arts, the exhibition brings together works by emerging artists, bridging history and contemporary creativity within a setting that is itself a celebration of design.

From Vietnam’s art scene to the islands of Southeast Asia, heritage becomes a way of life. Newly opened South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao – MGallery Collection in the Philippines transforms into a living exhibit through Waves of Heritage. Storytellers and artisans share Panglao’s ancient fishing techniques, traditional crafts, and sustainable practices, offering guests an intimate connection to the rhythms of island life and the community that sustains them.
Thailand adds its own vibrant voice. In Phuket, Avista Hideaway Patong Phuket – MGallery Collection hosts Heritage Day – Ode to Thai Culture on 19 September. Beginning with a lotus-folding and gong ritual, the evening unfolds into a celebration of Thai tradition through dance, fire performances, and interactive workshops. Guests are invited to try Thai calligraphy, garland making, and dress-up sessions, while enjoying authentic snacks and drinks. The result is an evocative showcase of the rituals and artistry that define Thai culture.
Honouring the past, inspiring the present
Together, these celebrations reflect the spirit of MGallery Hotel Collection in Asia: curating experiences that honour the past while inspiring the present. By opening their doors for Heritage Days, the hotels reaffirm their role as guardians of culture, inviting guests and local communities to connect with the stories, artistry, and traditions that make each destination unique.
