Marriott International is gearing up for its 12th annual “Road to Give” in Thailand, as its hotel guests, associates and partners come together to run, walk, ride or move for a good cause. This year, activities will be staged in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Khao Lak, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hua Hin, with 100% of the funds raised, after deducting costs, being donated to Marriott’s trusted local charities to support underprivileged children and their families across the kingdom.
In line with Marriott’s global Serve360 social impact and sustainability platform, which is committed to “Doing Good in Every Direction”, this year’s Road to Give events will run from October 3 to December 5, 2026. Thousands of participants are expected to lace up their running shoes for a series of challenges, ranging from vibrant 2km family fun runs to 12km mini marathons.
History & Evolution: Launched by Marriott International in 2015 (originally as Run to Give), Road to Give is an annual signature charity and wellness initiative.
Charitable Impact: 100% of net proceeds, after deducting costs, raised directly support regional non-profit organizations, youth development programs, and local community charities.
Core Purpose: The event promotes physical health, active lifestyles, and community connection among Marriott associates, hotel guests, and local residents.
The Road to Give 2026 commences in Koh Samui on October 3, with a choice of 2, 6 or 12km morning runs starting at Koh Samui Stadium, before heading to Khao Lak on October 4 with scenic 5km or 10km mini marathon routes along the Andaman coast at Laem Pakarang. Then on November 7, the fun moves north to Chiang Mai with a choice of 5 and 10km fun runs at 7th Infantry Division, set against the backdrop of jungle-clad mountains, and on November 15, participants will gather at Phuket’s Bang Wad Dam for 4 and 12km events, plus a 1.8km pet run! On November 28, an evening 5km run will be staged along the Kok River in Chiang Rai, and on November 29, guests in Hua Hin will be able to work up a sweat with 3.5, 5.5 or 10km runs at Lan Maharaj. The Road to Give 2026 concludes in Bangkok on December 5, with a choice of 2, 4 and 10km routes at Suan Rot Fai.
Whatever the distance or destination, every run will take place amid a carnival atmosphere, with live entertainment, kids’ activities, lucky draws, and energizing bites from Marriott Bonvoy on Wheels, the colorful convoy of food trucks and carts from Marriott’s hotels and resorts. Runners who make it to the finish line will be rewarded with medals.
This year’s Road to Give events are expected to raise millions of baht for Marriott’s non-profit partners, including Operation Smile Thailand, which provides life-changing free surgeries to young people born with cleft lips and palates. Other trusted organizations set to benefit include the Asia Center Foundation in Phuket, Tarnnamjai Foundation Thailand and Don Bosco Home for Children Bang Sak in Phang Nga, Mirror Foundation in Chiang Rai, and the Mercy House Foundation in Pranburi.
“The Road to Give is a real highlight of the year, as thousands of like-minded guests and local residents gather together for a good cause. Whether you’re a keen runner or a newcomer, these upbeat occasions are a great way to get some fresh air, improve your health, and meet new people. And of course, by entering you will be helping to change the lives of young people and their families in Thailand. We look forward to welcoming all ages to our nationwide fun runs later this year,” said Brad Edman, Market Vice President – Thailand, Cambodia, Laos & Myanmar, Marriott International.
“Ever since we launched the Road to Give – originally the ‘Run to Give’ – in 2015, we have inspired hundreds of people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. It doesn’t matter if you run, walk or ride; simply engaging in these social activities will enhance your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. This forms a key part of Marriott’s ‘Spirit to Serve’, which strives to make a lasting difference in our communities,” added Daryn Hudson, General Manager, Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort, and Chair of the Thailand-Cambodia Marriott Worldwide Business Council.
