Banyan Tree Bangkok invites guests to experience the timeless refinement of Khao Chae, a treasured Thai culinary tradition crafted to offer elegant respite from the tropical heat. Presented as an exclusive dining experience, this seasonal delicacy reflects the artistry and grace of royal Thai cuisine.

Our exquisite Khao Chae set features chilled jasmine rice delicately steeped in fragrant jasmine-scented water, elegantly accompanied by a curated selection of time-honoured Thai delicacies. Signature highlights include deep-fried sea bass with shrimp paste ballsweet freshwater fish glazed with palm sugarcrispy shredded porkfried shallots stuffed with crab meatcaramelized Chinese radish, and succulent shrimps wrapped in delicate lacy egg. Guests may also savour a choice of deep-fried shredded pork or deep-fried shredded beef, complemented by freshly carved seasonal vegetables and green mango, lending a refreshing balance and refined harmony of flavours.

Thoughtfully crafted in honour of Thai culinary heritage, this elegant composition captures the timeless charm and delicate flavours of Thailand’s cherished summer delicacy. The experience concludes on a bright note with traditional Som Chun and smooth plum ice cream, leaving a lingering impression of elegance and cool serenity.

A takeaway set presented in a beautifully handcrafted woven basket will also be available from 1 – 30 April 2026 at THB 1,588 net per set. From 11 – 14 April 2026, guests may also indulge in a delightful Khao Chae corner within the buffet at Vertigo TOOcelebrating this beloved Thai summer tradition.
