JW MARRIOTT HOTEL HONG KONG UNVEILS THE ART-INSPIRED INFINITY GUESTROOM FLOOR

JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong is delighted to announce a landmark collaboration with internationally renowned sculptor Richard X. Zawitz, unveiling the newly refurbished Level 34 as the Infinity Guestroom Floor. This exciting launch is complemented by a limited-time solo exhibition at the hotel, aligning with the vibrant Art Month of March in Hong Kong. The floor’s transformation redefines the luxury hotel experience in the city, blending contemporary hospitality with immersive art to create a sanctuary of harmony and mindful living.

The Vision of Curvism Woven into Hospitality

Long recognised as an urban oasis within the city’s dynamic Admiralty district, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong elevates the guest experience through Zawitz’s visionary Curvism style, which blends the fluidity of curves with the Chinese philosophical concepts of Tao and Zen across sculptures and furnishings. The Pittsburgh-born artist skilfully combines steel, a subtle nod to his hometown’s industrial heritage, with the philosophical principles of infinity, conveying balance, flow and energy throughout the guest experience. Discover the Zawitz’s biography here.

‘My work is not just about form and material; it’s a deep exploration of the interconnectedness of all things, of the balance between yin and yang, and of the endless flow of Tao.’ – Richard X. Zawitz

The first hotel in the city to dedicate an entire guestroom floor to the vision of a single artist, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong has created a sanctuary of tranquillity: the Infinity Guestroom Floor, reflecting Zawitz’s core themes of infinity and harmony. During Art Month in the city, a vibrant gallery of Zawitz’s works will also be displayed on Level 3 of the hotel.

‘This exciting collaboration embraces Hong Kong’s creative energy while bringing JW Marriott’s commitment to mindful luxury to life,’ said GP Yeow, General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. ‘By transforming our Infinity Guestroom Floor into a living gallery, we invite our guests to immerse themselves in art that inspires reflection and connection, and creates a serene escape amidst the dynamic excitement of the city’s art scene.’ Discover the curated experience by reading the digital artbook here.

An Immersive Artistic Journey Upon Arrival

Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by The Statue of Infinity in the lobby, which marks Zawitz’s first collaboration with the hotel since 2009. This remarkable piece is a captivating introduction to each guest’s journey, embodying the philosophy of interconnectedness and JW Marriott’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections across all walks of life.

Upon reaching the Infinity Guestroom Floor on Level 34, guests are welcomed by Infinite Child, a striking stainless steel sculpture that inspires reflection and reconnection with one’s limitless potential. The floor offers a selection of guestrooms and suites, each featuring its own miniature Infinite Child sculpture, a conceptual artbook chronicling the artist’s journey and a catalogue showcasing Zawitz’s work.

A curated space where art transcends the conventional gallery experience, the Infinity Suite by Richard X. Zawitz features flowing curves across the living area, bedroom and bathroom. In honour of the Year of the Horse, Zawitz also unveils the Infinite Horse, a sculpture extending wishes for success in the year ahead. The artist’s signature stainless steel curves are seamlessly integrated into several bespoke furniture pieces, from dining tables and chairs to mirrors, complemented by radiant sunrise paintings that balance cool steel with warmth and light. Another recurring motif—seen in lamps, paintings and sculptures in the Infinity Suite—is the sculptural knot, inspired by the Chinese ruyi knot and symbolising unity. Guests may also acquire selected furniture pieces, bringing the spirit of Curvism into their own homes.

Beyond artistic expression, the Infinity Guestroom Floor also delivers all the refined comforts expected of a luxury stay. Decorated in a calming palette of soft greys and cream whites and complemented by natural wood fittings, the Infinity Rooms are artfully designed to nurture the mind, body and spirit. Each room boasts expansive wrap-around windows, inviting abundant natural light and framing breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour, verdant mountain landscapes or the city’s iconic skyline. Smart room technology and bespoke minibar selections ensure that every guest’s stay is personalised to their preferences.

Thoughtfully designed bathrooms combine practical conveniences—two sliding doors set at right angles to customise guests’ privacy while they enjoy stunning views—with indulgent amenities that enhance the bathing experience. Meanwhile, interconnecting rooms provide an ideal solution for families seeking both connection and comfort.

A Gallery Pulsing with the Spirit of Art Month

During Hong Kong’s celebrated Art Month in March, as major events including Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Central take place just steps away, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong further embraces the creative spirit with a special showcase of Richard X. Zawitz’s sculptural works. Additional pieces from the Infinity collection and other inspiring artworks are on display in a dedicated gallery space near the hotel’s Michelin-starred Man Ho Chinese Restaurant over a two-week period from 18 March, open to both guests and the public.

The Infinity Guestroom Floor affirms JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong’s commitment to mindful hospitality, offering guests an artistic journey throughout their stay.
