Jim Thompson Home Furnishings Autumn 2025 Collection Signals a Return to Nature
The Jim Thompson Autumn 2025 Collection signals a return to nature, embracing playful earth tones, rich textures, and refined botanical motifs across its drapery and upholstery fabrics. Presented across five series – Earthly Elation, Flora & Fauna, Warm Days I & II, Sasina (Handwoven Thai Silk) and Terra Reverie Wallcoverings – this marks the first collection envisioned under Vichada ‘Dao’ Sitakalin since her appointment as Creative Director of the Home Furnishings Business Unit in 2024.

Rooted in her deep appreciation for the natural world, Vichada translates her connection to the environment into a collection that celebrates organic beauty and artistry, offering a fresh perspective on Jim Thompson’s enduring legacy. “I draw inspiration from tropical gardens, lush botanicals, and nature’s dynamic contrasts – exploring scales, geometry, and textures. I love pairing and layering patterns to build rich, intriguing compositions that capture the vibrancy of nature,” says Vichada.
Vichada, who joined the brand in 2024, is a pioneering figure in Thailand’s interior design scene, recognized for her influential contributions to the industry over the past two decades. As the Creative Director of Home Furnishings at Jim Thompson, she brings a wealth of experience, along with passion and deep appreciation for craftmanship that is juxtaposed with commercial trends to the Business Unit. This marks an exciting new era for Jim Thompson Home Furnishings.
In 2023, Vichada was recognized by Tatler Asia as one of Asia’s Most Influential figures in design, highlighting her exceptional talent and significant impact in the field. Her philosophy embraces an eclectic mix of styles and eras, characterized by vibrant visual flair and deep understanding of colors.
“We are delighted to be working with someone who truly understands the essence of our brand. At Jim Thompson Home Furnishings, we push the boundaries to create uniqueness while contemporizing our brand DNAs, ensuring it remains relevant within the international design scene and responsive to product needs in our home markets – Thailand and Asia – as well as in our biggest export markets such as USA and Europe,” says Sasaya Vesanen, Home Furnishings Chief Commercial Director.
The collections, which include a wide range of drapery and upholstery fabrics as well as wallcoverings, feature decorative jacquards and fine velvets with delicate prints, playful embroideries, and soft, textured plains – crafted for effortless mixing and matching. Nature-inspired motifs such as palm fronds, bamboo textures, and rustic weaves harmonize with bold geometric patterns, creating a balanced dialogue between expressive and delicate accents. Earthy tones ground vibrant hues, establishing a sense of light, depth, and warmth.

Earthly Elation Collection is rooted in the raw and rustic beauty of nature, drawing inspirations from tones and textures of rocks, barks, moss and leaves. Highlight includes ‘Arum Leaves’ – a contemporary jacquard weave that blends organic foliage with geometric form – and ‘Rosette Spots’, an organic, foliage-inspired pattern with intricate details resembling clusters of moss thriving in a forest. Bursting with bright hues and subtle textures, the collection also features striking geometric designs such as Kata and Jaya Velvets, which achieve exceptionally high Martindale of up to 100,000 turns —making them extremely durable for both residential and commercial hospitality projects.

Flora & Fauna Collection combines rich textures with playful embroideries, tropical botanicals, and striking prints. Textured weaves evoke a grounded, earthy spirit, while intricate details and organic geometry add depth and dimension. A key highlight is ‘Ora Shadow’ printed on 100% linen, featuring a gentle ombré that echoes the shifting colors of the sky from dawn to dusk. Its wide-width design and airy translucence lend a soft, atmospheric elegance to any room. Kerala Embroidery celebrates lush tropical flora showcasing an array of hand-stitched blooms on natural linen.

With a focus on artisanal qualities reminiscent of hand-loomed and handwoven fabrics, Warm Days I & II introduce new plains and textured drapery and upholstery, crafted from natural yarns such as silk, cotton, jute and linen in neutrals and warm-tones.

The Terra Reverie Wallcovering Collection celebrates the beauty of botanicals through a striking blend of non-woven and grasscloth wallcoverings designed in Jim Thompson’s Design Studio in Bangkok. Iconic patterns such as Royal Fern, Tiger’s Dream, Pineapple, Palm Leaves, and Lush Leafscape have been reimagined, redrawn, and recolored from the Jim Thompson Archive.

Last but not least, woven at the weaving studio in Korat, the latest handwoven Thai silk collection, ‘Sasina’, presents 25 colorways of drapery-quality silk. Each shimmers with a refined, iridescent, kaleidoscopic sheen – a unique interplay of warp and weft yarns that is iconic to Jim Thompson silks.
Beyond aesthetics, the Autumn 2025 Collection reflects Jim Thompson’s commitment to creating unique designs with uncompromising quality. Balancing craftmanship and practicality, the collection underscores the brand’s enduring legacy, supported by rigorous durability testing. Jim Thompson continues to remain at the forefront of global hotel and commercial projects while continuing to grow in the residential sector. The company’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental considerations to the preservation of textile knowledge and traditional techniques while ensuring resonance in interiors worldwide.
With the Autumn 2025 Collection, Jim Thompson Home Furnishings under the creative direction of Vichada Sitakalin, reaffirms its role as a trusted partner for designers in both residential and commercial projects, offering textiles and wallcoverings that are timeless and contemporary.
