Jim Thompson and Thai Airways Unveil Latest In-Flight Collection Celebrating Thai Craftsmanship and Aviation Excellence

Launching in January 2026, Jim Thompson and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) elevate their milestone collaboration with the latest in-flight collection, bringing contemporary Thai artistry and thoughtfully designed new amenity kits and Royal Silk Class Comfort Wear to the skies.

The new collection marks the 3rd year of their partnership with a celebration of style and sustainability, exemplifying the needs of the modern traveler and creating immersive Thai cultural experiences through finest craftsmanship and aviation excellence.

The journey began in 2023 with the launch of premium amenity kits for Royal Silk Class passengers on international routes. Due to its success, a second collection of new cultural prints was added in early 2025.

The latest product launch brings 14 exclusive new prints to amenity bags. The collection also marks the first time in THAI’s history that Royal Silk Class passengers can enjoy comfort wear sets, exclusively designed by Jim Thompson to ensure in-flight comfort is as ‘Smooth as Silk’.

Kittiphong Sansomboon, Chief Commercial Officer of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), said, “Our collaboration with Jim Thompson reflects Thai Airways’ commitment to elevating our in-flight products and services while showcasing authentic Thai identity on the global stage. At a time when travelers are seeking more meaningful and environmentally conscious experiences, this collection represents our dedication to offering premium service with a strong emphasis on sustainability.”

Frank Cancelloni, Group CEO at Jim Thompson, added, “We’re very proud of our ongoing collaboration with Thai Airways, which now enters its third successful year. The latest in-flight collection elevates the passenger journey with a range of rich fabrics and innovative designs in celebration of Thailand’s heritage, showcasing our mutual passion for sharing Thai culture and craftmanship with air travelers.”

The latest in-flight amenity bags are designed with Jim Thompson’s world-renowned fabrics. Highlights of the 14 new prints include House on the Klong, with a design that captures the spirit, ancient artifacts and antiques, and the lush tropical garden of the traditional teak house at the Jim Thompson House Museum in Bangkok. Orchids Bunch features a cluster of exquisite purple orchids, the emblem of Thailand’s national airline, Thai Airways, reflecting elegance and grace. Elephant Legacy, with bamboo motifs symbolizing strength and flexibility, intertwined with the majestic elephant, Thailand’s national animal. Drawing inspiration from historical postage stamps, Stamp Siam provides a keepsake of journeys near and far, featuring Thai landmarks, a Thai Airways aircraft, and the graceful ‘wai’ greeting. The kingdom’s botanical beauty and stunning landscapes are portrayed across a range of designs, including Paradise, Phrae Phii Suea, and Tropical Forest Garden. The new Jim Thompson amenity kits are offered exclusively to Royal Silk Class passengers on international routes with a flight duration of more than 3 hours and 30 minutes, except Milan, Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai.

New to the in-flight collection, the Royal Silk Class Elephant Series comfort wear presents a cozy long-sleeve pajama top and pants offering the ultimate comfort for the Royal Silk Class passenger traveling on European routes. The exclusive set features two patterns, each available in three colors, incorporating Jim Thompson’s signature Origami Elephant motif.

In-line with both partners’ commitment to sustainable practices, environmental design is prevalent throughout the collection, from the use of eco-friendly fabrics to biodegradable materials used for amenity accessories. Each bag contains thoughtfully curated items, including biodegradable toothbrush and shoehorn, as well as comfort socks, hand moisturizing lotion, moisturizing lip balm, and aromatherapy roller presented in sustainable packaging.

Thai Airways and Jim Thompson 2026 Collection offers air passengers a distinctive and culturally rich travel experience, inviting travelers to “live the story” of Thai culture through Jim Thompson designs, aligning with Thai Airways’ vision of elevating in-flight hospitality.
