Grand Hyatt Seoul Introduces Limited-Edition HY K-Series

Set on the slopes of Namsan in the heart of Seoul, Grand Hyatt Seoul introduces a new limited-edition K-Series featuring its beloved mascot, HY, reimagined through a distinctly Korean lens. Created in celebration of Lunar New Year and the hotel’s upcoming 48th anniversary, the collection presents two designs: Mini Hanbok HY, dressed in traditional Korean attire, and Mini Gat HY, wearing the iconic traditional hat.

The K-Series originates from a moment when HY’s Korean-inspired appearance resonated most strongly with guests. A previously released version of Gat HY received an especially enthusiastic responses, establishing it as one of the mascot’s most memorable and recognizable identities. Building on this connection, the hotel has reintroduced the design in a more collectible, miniature form, allowing guests to take a refined piece of that moment home.

Adding to the spirit of the season, HY is now dressed in hanbok for the first time. Each outfit worn by Mini Hanbok HY is individually handcrafted, with careful attention paid to color, proportion, and detail, reflecting the delicacy of traditional Korean dress. The design is available in both male and female versions, designed to feel complete when displayed side by side, as though capturing a single, composed scene.

When displayed together, Mini Gat HY and Mini Hanbok HY form a small yet thoughtfully curated collection that playfully interprets Korea’s traditional attire. More than character merchandise, the K-Series is presented as a commemorative object that carries both the experience of time spent at Grand Hyatt Seoul and a subtle expression of Korean cultural identity. For international guests, it offers a symbolic keepsake of Korea; for returning visitors, a tangible memory of their stay.

The limited-edition K-Series will be available for purchase until February 28. Each Mini Hanbok HY and Mini Gat HY is priced at KRW 48,000, while the male & female Hanbok HY set is available for KRW 80,000. Quantities are limited, and sales will end once items are sold out.
