FROM JUJUBE TO DURIAN: MOTT 32 BANGKOK UNVEILS LIMITED-EDITION MOONCAKE COLLECTION
Four exquisite flavors unite heritage and innovation in a refined celebration of Mid-Autumn traditions
Mott 32 Bangkok, the renowned Chinese restaurant at The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, is pleased to introduce an exclusive collection of hand-crafted mooncakes in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Meticulously prepared with premium ingredients and Mott 32’s signature sophistication, the limited-edition selection presents four distinctive flavors – each thoughtfully created to blend cultural authenticity with creative flair.
The Mango & Coconut Almond mooncake is a tropical reimagination inspired by Mott 32’s beloved Fresh Mango Glutinous Rice Roll dessert, offering a vibrant, refreshing twist on tradition. Juicy mango pairs with velvety coconut and almond to evoke warmth and familiarity, while reflecting the restaurant’s modern culinary spirit.
Fragrant and delicately nostalgic, Osmanthus & Goji Berry features ingredients long treasured in Chinese cuisine and medicine, bringing osmanthus flowers and goji berries together in a floral, well-balanced creation, paying homage to age-old Chinese wellness rituals. The Jujube mooncake, made with red Chinese dates, is symbolic and auspicious. The healthful fruit – cherished across generations for its association with good fortune, prosperity and fertility – lends an earthy sweetness, as well as nodding to the festival’s origins and enduring traditions.
Finally, Durian with Salted Egg Yolk, a bold new flavor, is crafted with premium Monthong durian from Chanthaburi. By pairing Thailand’s most prized variety of durian with savory salted egg yolk, chefs strike a luxurious balance of flavor and texture – the rich, fragrant filling capturing the essence of durian’s regal status in Southeast Asia.
