Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort Achieves Sustainable Certification with 3 Leaves from the Green Leaf Foundation
Prestigious recognition for this beachfront resort in Patong Phuket, which has adopted a wide range of measures to reduce its environmental footprint while having a positive impact on its local community

Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort is proud to announce that it has been awarded 3 Leaves by the Green Leaf Foundation, in recognition of its deep commitment to sustainability and the extensive measures it adopts on a daily basis to have a positive impact on the planet.
Founded in 1998, the Green Leaf Foundation is a highly respected Thai organization that promotes eco-friendly standards and practices in the hospitality industry. It actively assesses the kingdom’s hotels and resorts, based on a range of criteria including energy use, water conservation, food waste and more, then provides certification ranging from 1 to 5 Leaves.
To achieve 3 Leaves reflects how this Patong beachfront Resort is integrating green practices into every aspect of its operations and helping to create lasting benefits for the environment and community. This certification will now provide a powerful guide for guests who seek eco-conscious hotels, while also inspiring the resort’s team to continue striving for sustainability.
Overlooking the golden sands of Patong Beach and the shimmering Andaman Sea, Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort is immersed in the beauty of nature. To help protect this environment, the resort has implemented a comprehensive range of activities and procedures to reduce its ecological footprint, from the abolition of single-use plastics, water reduction, and recycling initiatives, to the installation of EV charging stations, green meeting solutions, energy-efficient lighting and more.
Food waste is significantly reduced through effective measures such as composting and working with Thai charities to donate excess food to disadvantaged people. The resort also teams up with like-minded suppliers to source fresh, authentic ingredients for its restaurants. In addition, the resort offers eco-friendly items during the stay, including handwoven Kra-Jood bags. And of course, the resort is in constant communication with its associates, guests, partners and the community, to raise awareness about the critical importance of sustainability.
“At Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort, we understand that we have a responsibility to take care of our destination for future generations. We constantly strive to have a positive impact, from reducing our energy use, water consumption and waste, to working with Phuket suppliers to create long-term benefits for the entire island. I would like to thank our entire team for their tireless commitment to sustainability, which has helped us to achieve this prestigious certification,” said Daryn Hudson, General Manager, Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort.
Looking ahead, this award-winning hotel on Patong Beach will continue working with the Green Leaf Foundation, and in line with Marriott International’s Serve360 sustainability and social impact platform, as the company moves towards its goal of achieving net-zero operations by 2050.
