Bar.Yard Launches First-Ever Weekend Brunch With “El Sabor De Cinco De Mayo” Celebration
Bar.Yard at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok introduces its first-ever Weekend Brunch with El Sabor de Cinco de Mayo, a vibrant rooftop celebration of Latin flavours and festive energy, taking place on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Set against sweeping Bangkok skyline views, the brunch brings together bold Latin American cuisine with Thai influences, live entertainment and a buzzing social atmosphere, marking a new daytime experience at the hotel’s popular 40th-floor rooftop venue.
A Festive Fusion of Latin and Thai Flavours
Curated by Executive Chef Lamberto Valdez Lara and Sous Chef Julio César Concha Muñoz, the menu reflects both chefs’ Latin heritage, Mexico and Peru, blended with local Thai inspirations.
Guests can explore an array of live stations, including a Ceviche & Aguachile Bar and an Anticuchos & Satay Grill, alongside a playful selection of bites and brunch favourites. Highlights include Larb Tostadas, Tuna Tiradito Tacos, Chicharrón Bao Tacos, Thai Fish Cake Sliders, and Chilaquiles “Bangkok”.
Hearty mains continue the cross-cultural theme with dishes such as Green Curry Arroz con Mariscos (a seafood rice inspired by Spanish-style paella with Thai green curry), Pad Thai Seco de Res (dry-style Pad Thai with tender beef and rich, concentrated flavours) and Duck Red Curry Enchilada Bake (slow-cooked duck in Thai red curry, baked in enchilada-style wraps), bringing together familiar flavours with a creative twist.
To end on a sweet note, desserts feature indulgent interpretations of classics, including Mango Sticky Rice Tres Leches, Churros with Pandan Custard & Dulce de Leche and Coconut Flan with Palm Sugar Caramel.
Rooftop Brunch with Latin Beats
Adding to the convivial atmosphere, guests can enjoy live entertainment throughout the afternoon. Siam Cubano, a Bangkok-based Latin band, brings an energetic mix of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and more, while DJ Camilo keeps the party going with high-octane beats.
