Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park to Showcase “Sustainable Stays” in Afternoon of Innovation
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, the landmark hotel nestled in the heart of the Thai capital, is set to reveal how it is working towards a cleaner, greener future by hosting an immersive event dedicated to showcasing the latest sustainable hospitality solutions, trends, and thought leadership.
On Friday October 31st, “Sustainable Stays” will invite the hotel’s public and private sector partners, entrepreneurs, NGOs and other stakeholders to the 5th floor Sala Thai Ballroom for an afternoon of innovation. Attendees will be able to learn about the latest sustainability trends from a series of expert speakers and panel discussions, and discover how the industry is creating pathways towards a more sustainable tomorrow.
Following a welcome address by the hotel’s General Manager, Simon Bell, the event will commence with a keynote “Green Tourism” presentation, as Dr. Bank Ngamarunchot, Director of the Science Technology & Innovation Policy Institute (STIPI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, discusses the latest global trends. Ms. Kru Prateep Ungsongtham Hata, Founder of the Duang Prateep Foundation, will then take to the stage to talk about “Charitable Service: Strategy, Direction and Lessons Learned.”
Two lively panel discussions will highlight key issues in sustainable hospitality. The “Successful Green Collaboration” session will showcase Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park’s pioneering Oyster Shell Waste Fire Retardant Project, in collaboration with the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) and Beger Co., Ltd, while “Effective Communication for Green Initiatives” will gain insights from two prominent environmental influencers, Kong-Chanat Wuttivikaiyan (KongGreenGreen) and Pear-Pimlada Chaiprichawit (PEAR is Hungry), along with Yu-Katanyu Sawangsri, host of the Katanyu Tonight show on YouTube. This immersive afternoon then concludes with Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, providing his expert views on the topic of “Sustainability and Resilient Cities.”
Guests will also be able to visit more than 30 booths presenting eco-friendly services and solutions, including food and drinks that demonstrate the hotel’s deep commitment to eliminating food waste.
The “Sustainable Stays” event will be staged from 13:00 to 17:00 hrs on October 31st, 2025, and is free to enter.
