Asia’s Most Prestigious Beach Polo Charity Event Returns

Princess Pa’s Cup InterContinental – B.Grimm Beach Polo Hua Hin 2026 Saturday, April 4, 2026 | InterContinental Hua Hin Resort Beachfront

The 15th edition of the Princess Pa’s Cup InterContinental – B.Grimm Beach Polo Hua Hin took place on April 4, 2026, bringing a blend of sport, society and seaside elegance to the beachfront of InterContinental Hua Hin Resort.

Organised by B.Grimm in collaboration with Proud Group, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort and Bluport Hua Hin, the annual event has become a fixture on Thailand’s lifestyle and sporting calendar. Held under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, the tournament continues to support the Kamlangjai Project, which focuses on rehabilitation, vocational training and reintegration opportunities for inmates.

Over the past 15 years, beach polo in Hua Hin has evolved into a distinctive international event, combining competitive sport with a relaxed coastal setting. The wide stretch of sand and the town’s long-standing equestrian tradition make it one of the few places capable of hosting the sport at this level.

Dr Harald Link, chairman of B.Grimm and president of the Thailand Equestrian Federation under the Royal Patronage, noted that beach polo presents a unique challenge, with matches dependent on tidal conditions to ensure the sand is firm enough for play. “It reflects both the precision and spirit of the sport,” he said.

Proudputh Liptapanlop, executive director of Proud Group, said Hua Hin continues to be a leading destination for both domestic and international travellers, supported by steady growth in tourism and hospitality.

“Proud Group is committed to introducing world-class lifestyle experiences that enhance Hua Hin’s appeal across sports, music, arts and gastronomy. Beach polo is one of the signature events that reflects the character and identity of the city,” she said.

She added that InterContinental Hua Hin Resort remains a key venue for the tournament, thanks to its expansive beachfront and continued enhancements to its facilities, offering guests a refined and distinctive seaside experience.

This year’s competition featured teams from Thailand, Belgium, England and the United States, highlighting the tournament’s international appeal. Spectators were treated to a full programme of activities, including a fashion show on horseback, sponsor showcases and a lively parade of players and horses along the shoreline.

Beyond the matches, the event maintained its reputation as a social gathering, drawing business leaders, polo enthusiasts and guests from across Thailand and abroad. Food and beverage offerings, along with interactive installations, contributed to a festive yet refined atmosphere throughout the day.

As evening approached, the setting shifted to a more formal seaside celebration under the theme “Celestial Blue & Pearl Summer Elegance Dinner”. Guests gathered for the garden party, where ocean-inspired tones and understated décor reflected the coastal surroundings.

A highlight of the evening was the charity auction, where exclusive items and experiences were presented to guests, with proceeds raised in support of the Kamlangjai Project under Royal Patronage.

The night concluded with a performance by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, whose open-air concert added a cultural dimension to the event, set against the backdrop of the Hua Hin shoreline.

While the tournament continues to elevate Thailand’s profile in equestrian sport, its charitable focus remains central. By supporting the Kamlangjai Project, the event underscores how sport and social initiatives can intersect, offering both entertainment and a broader sense of purpose.
